What this tool does

The tool answers the question: for my order, which exchange charges the least? Pick spot or futures, maker or taker, then enter the size — the tool computes the USD fee for each exchange, ranks them from cheapest to most expensive and estimates how much you would save if you trade every day.

How to use

01

Choose the market type

Spot and futures have different fee schedules. Pick the market you actually trade.

02

Choose the order type

Maker (limit) or Taker (market). This is the single biggest factor in your cost.

03

Enter the size

Pick a preset or enter a custom size to see the exact fee for your order.

04

Compare 5 exchanges

The tool ranks exchanges by the actual fee of your order and estimates savings if you trade every day.

03

The formula (in words)

Fee per trade = Trade size × Fee rate

Fee rate = maker or taker depending on the order type, by spot or futures

Daily savings = (Most expensive fee − Cheapest fee) × trades/day

Monthly savings = Daily savings × 30

The tool ranks by the fee of exactly the order type you picked; it never mixes maker with taker.

Limits

  • Fees are the published rates for the standard/VIP 0 tier — they exclude volume discounts, native-token discounts and promotions.
  • Deribit does not offer spot trading; its spot figures in the tool are set to 0 so they may display as $0 (see the [NEEDS CONFIRMATION] note).
  • Futures fees do not include funding rates — those are charged separately on perpetual positions.
  • Fee schedules change over time; always re-check on the exchange's official page before trading.

Frequently asked questions

Which crypto exchange has the lowest trading fees?

For futures, MEXC has the lowest fees: 0% maker and 0.01% taker. For spot, OKX has 0.08% maker. Bybit and Binance are both 0.1%/0.1% for standard spot accounts. Fees drop significantly with VIP tiers or when you hold the exchange's native token.

How do maker and taker fees differ?

Maker orders add liquidity to the order book (limit orders that do not fill immediately). Taker orders take liquidity (market orders that fill instantly). Maker fees are always lower — sometimes 0% on futures — because makers improve market quality.

How much do exchange fees matter?

For active traders, fees matter a lot. Trading $10,000/day at 0.1% costs $10/day = $3,650/year. The same volume at 0.01% costs just $365/year — saving $3,285/year simply by choosing the right exchange and using limit orders.
